High-profile Australian journalist Cheng Lei is "as well as can be expected in these circumstances" after being detained in Beijing.
Cheng is an anchor of the Global Business show on the English-language channel of the China Global Television Network, a state-run media organisation in China.
Foreign Minister Marise Payne told Deborah Knight on 2GB radio today the journalist has not yet been charged, despite being detained weeks ago.
