Aircraft noise issues across Brisbane's inner suburbs have gained political traction after Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce and federal Member for Brisbane Trevor Evans announced the formation of an "independent community forum".
Separate to the formal post-implementation review already underway, the forum was announced late on Friday after months of fury from locals who say their lives have been heavily disrupted since Brisbane Airport's second runway opened last year.
